The Crystal Screen series is one of the rarest Game & Watch product lines. Using a completely transparent LCD panel, these units allowed players to see through the device while playing — game characters appeared to float in midair. This see-through display technology was extraordinarily novel for 1986.
Three Crystal Screen units were produced — Balloon Fight, Climber, and Super Mario Bros — making this among the smallest series in the lineup. These units were sold primarily in Europe and are among the most difficult Game & Watch models to find in good condition.
